EDITION ARGENTUM is an owner-managed online shop for analogue photo art editions, high-quality archive materials, analogue creative items, inspiring photography books, as well as providers of artistic workshops.
"The moment when the freshly developed films come out of the developing tank and you see your pictures for the first time. The typical smell of developer, stop bath and fixer in the red light of the darkroom.
These are magical moments of analogue photography that have continued to inspire me for over 25 years. Since 2011, I have been running the analogue specialist laboratory ANALOG FINEPRINT SERVICE, developing films and creating black and white prints for photo artists, galleries and archives.
Analogue photography has always been the medium of choice for me when it comes to my own artistic work. In the course of my work as an analog fine art printer, I always have the opportunity to get to know other artists who share the fascination for this alchemical-like craft and for whom the analog chemical creative process is an indispensable part of their creative work.
The desire to bring film-based photography into greater focus and at the same time to preserve it for the future ultimately led to the founding of Edition Argentum in 2017, initially as an edition gallery for analog photo art and after a short time supplemented by many products for safe storage, presentation and Creation of images.
My aim is to only include products in my range that I am 100% convinced of and that I can recommend with a clear conscience. If you have any questions about properties and use, I will be happy to provide you with personal advice."
