Photo Art Editions

Edition Argentum is a gallery for analogue photo art.

The focus is on works by contemporary artists whose images were photographed with film and processed on classic silver gelatin papers or with the help of alternative photographic processes.

Where it makes sense, modern hybrid mixed techniques, such as digitally created templates for alternative fine art printing processes, can also be used, provided that the end product is an image created in the darkroom and by chemical-optical means.

We expressly do not understand the use of analogue photographic processes as a medium as an artistic claim in itself, but rather as a conscious design and craftsmanship decision of the artists represented and an important part of their creative process.
